What is the correct way to spell barbeque? I just looked it up and it seems that you can spell it barbeque or barbecue. Aha! .. Many establishments tend to customize this spelling to their own liking. Here are some: BBQ, Bar-B-Que, BBQue ... I think my favorite is Barbie Q ... Now that we have that out of the way , let's eat !!! Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ has several restaurants in the LA area. I love eating there ... As always I am a bit apprehensive about chain establishments. Lucille's always proves me wrong with great food and service.

It gets very busy at this restaurant. You might have to wait up to an hour. There are many groups coming here to celebrate various occasions. Seems like there are many family gatherings as well. It is loud in the restaurant. They play their blues really really loud. The sound system is awesome. I thought once that there was a live band playing. Decor is Southern, many booths for privacy. Everything speaks sparkling clean. Servers are quick and pleasant. They all carry the earpieces and constantly talk to each other looking all important. We have tried many dishes here: baby back ribs, St. Louis ribs, beef ribs, tri-tip, potato salad, baked beans, braised vegetables ... It is all good. Food at Lucille's is delicious, not only the meats but vegetable dishes as well. Prices start at $10 and climb up to $180 for group family meals.

I have in the meantime visited the Torrance location and the same excellent service applies there too. We have made this our barbeque spot. When the cravings come about we go to Lucille's .. You can't go wrong here !!! ... totally recommended ...
