Don't let the name of this restaurant fool you that it's a corner burger joint. It is quite the sophisticated restaurant, located on Abbot Kinney Road in Venice. In this part of town architecture is incredibly varied. One bulding may have just been put up displaying the modern architectural elements, while next door you can find a small run down shack, warehouses, few empty lots ... Taking a morning stroll down rue Cartier in Quebec City is quite an enjoyable experience, especially if it's summer time. Flowers adorn many of the houses and a general at ease feeling is present. There are a few noteworthy restaurants on this street. Le Cafe Krieghoff was recommended by one of the local guides as a good breakfast destination. There was a line at the entrance but by the time we checked out the neghbouring shops it was time for us to be seated .... Le Cafe Krieghoff in Quebec City

Culver City just got a new downtown eatery. Even though we have lunch in Culver City daily, we did not notice this restaurant until two days ago. It blends in too well. This is one of the most popular eateries in Redondo Beach. For a long while I thought I was the only one that knew of this small gem (even though the place is always packed). Then I discovered that everyone I know either regularly visits this Japanese restaurant or has been there and speaks favorably of it. I am sure that if it was a franchise it would do very well anywhere. Rice Things in Redondo Beach

Ah, yes! It sounds so exotic, Armor Manoir Sherbrooke in Montreal. You might wonder what the Armor Manoir Sherbrooke is. Well, it's a bed and breakfast hotel in the vicinity of downtown Montreal. It is located on a very busy street in Montreal (Sherbrooke) so if you'd like some peace and quiet ask for a room not facing the main thoroughfare. Armor Manoir Sherbrooke in Montreal

Several friends of mine took me out to the Madera Restaurant on my last visit to Toronto. It was a holiday evening on a weekday and the restaurant was not very crowded. This proved to be great since we had excellent service and were able to talk and reminisce late into the evening.Madera Restaurant in Toronto

What do you do to relax after the Christmas holidays and right before the New Year? You go to the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Palm Desert,...), find a nice resort and let your worries be gone ... The perfect place is the Hyatt Grand Champions Resort in Indian Wells. At the entrance you are greeted by tall palms, a nice fountain and smiling doormen.
