Fairfield, New Jersey has quite a few companies located within its borders or in the vicinity. Business travel is quite common in the area and Hampton Inn tries to fulfill the lodging needs. My stay at the hotel was also the business kind. Business trips are never too much fun. My goal is to get in, get the business done and get out as soon as possible. It does help when the hotel you are staying in has some basic amenities. This time, I stayed at the Hampton Inn located conveniently on the 46 in Fairfield. I flew into Newark and drove a rental to Fairfield. It did not take more than an hour for the entire car pickup and drive experience. The hotel has plentiful parking. The staff welcomed me nicely. The room was not far from the lobby. This was good since the outside temperature was really high. It was well air-conditioned everywhere in the hotel. The room was quite nice. Large comfortable bed, desk and chair, free internet, iron, safe, well equipped large bathroom. Overall a clean modern business design. It was quiet too. We had some drinks at the lobby bar with our business partners, not too late into the night. There is a good pizza place just down the street (46, cannot recall the name) and that was my dinner experience. In the morning, it was time to do some business. Prior to that, the iron served well in straightening out the clothes. The breakfast was served in the lobby breakfast area and included a whole variety of pastries, cereals, juices, coffee etc. Very solid .. fast forward a few hours ... In the evening I had dinner at the Calandras Mediterranean Grill restaurant in the hotel and it was really good. Another night of good rest followed.
When the business was done I was on my way home. This was an excellent business hotel and I would not hesitate staying here over and over again. Definitely a recommended place to stay.
