Hotel Check In
Process undertaken during arrival at the hotel prior to accessing the reserved room. Usually involves presenting your booking information to the hotel staff, assignment of room and keys, brief introduction to the hotel`s services by the staff member, providing a valid credit card for incidentals and discussing any special requests that the guest may have.
Hotel Check Out
Process undertaken when leaving the hotel after a completed stay. Usually involves returning of the keys, reviewing planned and unplanned expenses incurred during the stay and obtaining a full receipt. Often, hotels and lodgings do not require an in person check out process. This can sometimes be completed over the phone, through their in room check out system or just by vacating the room by the requested time.
Hotel Lobby
Room(s) at the entrance of the hotel that offer hotel front desk services (check in, check out, special requests, questions about the property,...). A lobby also serves to welcome guests, impress them and provide a space for socializing. Often includes a sitting area, concierge, luggage storage, vending machines, bar or other similar amenities to make the visitor`s experience more favorable.
Hotel luggage cart
Wheeled carriage available at many hotels facilitating transport of personal luggage from car to hotel room. The cart can be requested to move own luggage. Service is often provided by hotel bell man.
